Walking Smoke Distribution Inc. is owned and operated by three First Nations individuals: George Michel, Johnny Walker, and Peter Dorion.
George Michel, President :
George Michel is a part owner of Walking Smoke Distribution Inc. and Walking Smoke Confectionary. He is an Urban Councilor with Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN). Mr. Michel has had extensive governance experience which has enabled him to strike lease agreements with PBCN to host the confectionary. His knowledge and understanding of business negotiations and dealings has been a great asset to Walking Smoke Distribution Inc.
Johnny Walker, Chief Executive Officer:
Johnny Walker is also a part owner of Walking Smoke Distribution Inc. and Walking Smoke Confectionary. Mr. Walker is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Saskatchewan with a double major in Human Resources and General Business. Mr. Walker’s background has enabled him to excel in the administrative and financial aspect of the Walking Smoke Confectionary. For the past five years, he has been the Director of Post Secondary Education for Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
Peter Dorion, Executive Director:
Peter Dorion is a part owner of Walking Smoke Distribution Inc. Mr. Dorion graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in Finance. His past experiences include working for the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation within the Land and Treaty Entitlement for four years. He was also employed with the Canada Revenue Agency before becoming the manager for Walking Smoke Confectionary.
