Walking Smoke Confectionary has been in existence since June of 2003. Currently, there are 8 full-time employees and 1 part-time employee. It operates out of the Prince Albert urban reserve on land leased from the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. The Confectionary is owned by Johnny Walker and George Michel.

Walking Smoke Confectionary has been an excellent opportunity for the owners, being consistent with sales and revenues. The experiences provided by the daily operations of the Confectionary have directed the owners into other avenues of interest, namely, tobacco distribution. This idea is where the branch of Walking Smoke Distribution Inc. was originated.
